Why Pilates?
Pilates is a tried and true method that not only strengthens, lengthens and tones the body, but is guaranteed to improve your flexibility, balance and posture outside of the studio, as well. It is intentional - every move counts and encourages a deeper mind-body connection, constantly bringing you back to your breath. Although the focus of Pilates is on the core (i.e. the muscles in the abdomen and lower back), it is a full-body workout that targets those often overlooked but incredibly important stabilizing muscles, making it a challenging and comprehensive workout for anyone and everyone.
What if I am injured or pregnant?
Pilates is extremely safe and rehabilitative, which makes it a great workout for everyone - no matter your age or fitness level. It is easy on the joints and can alleviate lower back pain, as well. Every machine and exercise is designed with modifications to make it possible for anyone to practice. Pilates is an excellent workout for pregnant women, too! It is low-impact and strengthens the core and pelvic floor, which is key in preparing the body for labor and postnatal recovery. Modifications will be made and private instruction is encouraged for both.
What is the price of Privates?
Private instruction rates are available upon request. New client specials, duet/trio pricing and various packages are also available, allowing something for everyone.
When will I see results?
In the wise words of Joseph Pilates, “In ten sessions you’ll feel the difference, in twenty sessions you’ll see the difference and in thirty sessions, you’ll have a whole new body.” Although every body is different, consistency is key and the more often you come, the sooner you will see results!
How often should I do Pilates?
Pilates is recommended 2-3 times a week and is a great addition to cardio-based workouts, as well.
